Abby Hassler joined Piper Communications in 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Creative Strategy. At Piper, she manages a creative team of writers, digital experts, and designers to deliver timely multimedia content for clients and projects.

One of her primary responsibilities is to interview subject-matter experts on complicated topics and create articles and other content for a general audience. Additionally, she develops content strategies to elevate brand positioning and achieve business objectives. Notable projects and ongoing responsibilities include producing a client podcast, overseeing the creation of high-quality video assets, enhancing event promotion efforts with organic and paid strategies, and cultivating a roster of guest authors for several client blogs.

Prior to joining Piper, Abby worked as a freelance writer and editor for clients in a variety of industries, including technology, renewable energy, healthcare, higher education, and entertainment. She formerly worked as a senior writer for a digital marketing firm in Boston, Massachusetts, where she wrote, edited and served as a resource for writers on her team.

In 2019, she graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with her Master of Arts in English (Rhetoric, Writing and Linguistics). She has dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in journalism and teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) with a minor in linguistics.

When she’s not working, she’s exploring Knoxville’s food scene, volunteering at Centro Hispano de East TN, and spending time with her cat, Ollie, and dog, Barley.
