Overview
On January 23, 2026, Centrus Energy Corp. announced a major expansion of its centrifuge manufacturing facility in Oak Ridge, representing an investment of more than $560 million. The project will support the large-scale deployment of advanced centrifuge technology, strengthen America’s domestic nuclear supply chain and create nearly 430 new jobs in Anderson County. The announcement further positioned Tennessee as a national leader in advanced manufacturing and nuclear energy.
Solution
Piper Communications managed the planning and execution of the Centrus announcement event, including event flow, venue design, vendor coordination, load-in, event setup, speaker preparation and onsite event management. The team also developed the Eventbrite registration site, drafted copy and designed event motion graphics. Because the event featured high-profile government officials, Piper Communications worked closely with Centrus security and administrative teams to coordinate protocols, arrivals and speaker logistics. The team also led media relations, including media outreach and attendance, onsite support and interview coordination.
