AI Tennessee, an initiative led by the University of Tennessee to position the state as a leader in the global data economy, approached Piper Communications with the desire to increase the overall awareness and impact of its work as a statewide convener for AI research, collaboration, and innovation, as well as bring more attention to its industry consortium, AI TechX.
Solution
Piper Communications developed relationships with local, statewide, and national technology and workforce development reporters and media outlets to increase AI Tennessee’s visibility and event coverage, and to position AI Tennessee’s team as thought leaders in AI adoption, research and development, and industrial innovation. Through social media posts, media alerts, press releases, and thought leadership content. Piper Communications managed media relations on-site for the organization’s inaugural AI Tennessee Summit, coordinating interviews with TV, print, and digital outlets. We worked closely with the client’s team to determine story ideas and content opportunities for the AI TechX From Lab to Market pitch competition at Tennessee Technological University, the White House Presidential AI Challenge, as well as media prep calls and pitching for various AI-related topical news stories.
