What is your position at Piper Communications and describe your role?
I serve as the Strategic Partnerships Manager at Piper, as well as the Energy Network Program Manager for the Tennessee Advanced Energy Business Council– a non-profit organization that Piper supports. I support clients through fundraising, program management, and thought leadership projects. My responsibility entails around developing relationships that bolster advanced energy companies and the ecosystem at large.
What’s your favorite part about working at Piper Communications?
One of my favorite aspects about working at Piper Communications is the opportunity to work with all of the teams at Piper (creative and digital, public relations and media and events) to bring a project to life. I also have the privilege of working with a variety of clients, from global energy companies based overseas to local startups housed right in our backyard in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Who or what inspires you in your work and why?
I am most inspired by witnessing the impactful work of the clients we serve and having the opportunity to partner with some incredible organizations as an extension of their team.
What unique skills or perspectives do you bring to your role?
I started at Piper nearly four years ago and have been able to serve in a variety of roles and dip my toes into each stage of a project lifecycle – whether its social media, email marketing, event support, or media relations – I understand the value in how each role on a team drives an impactful result.
In your opinion, what makes the culture at Piper Communications stand out?
Our boss! Cortney encourages the team to develop new, innovative solutions for client projects – which sets up the team for success by growing both individually, and the results for our clients.
