What is your position at Piper Communications and describe your role?
I serve as the Senior Media Relations and Events Manager at Piper Communications. My role is a dynamic blend of strategic media outreach, creative event execution, and client support. I focus on amplifying our clients’ stories and managing experiences—whether in-person or virtual—that leave a lasting impression. Recently, I’ve also dove into branding and started working more closely on projects that incorporate graphic design, which has been an exciting way to expand both my creative skill set and the impact I can have on a project from start to finish. It’s a hybrid role that keeps me on my toes and plays to both my creative strengths and my deep appreciation for organization and strategy.
What’s your favorite part about working at Piper Communications?
I genuinely love the fast-paced environment—it keeps things exciting and energizing. One of my favorite aspects of this work is the freedom I have to guide and support our clients in innovative and creative ways. We’re encouraged to think big and back it up with smart execution. The team I work with is truly the best: reliable, empowering, and always collaborative. I also deeply value the community we’re a part of and the role our clients play in strengthening it. I’m passionate about entrepreneurship, growing Tennessee’s economy, and advancing energy initiatives both locally and globally—and at Piper, I get to be hands-on in all of that.
Who or what inspires you in your work and why?
I’m inspired by the ripple effect of the work we do—how one well-executed project can spark momentum that spreads through a community, an industry, or an organization. Seeing that kind of impact pushes me to elevate every campaign, every event, every strategy. It’s a reminder that the work matters, and the more thoughtful and intentional we are, the greater the reach and result. That’s what drives me to keep leveling up.
What unique skills or perspectives do you bring to your role?
I bring a combination of compassion, creativity, and a strong sense of teamwork to everything I do. I thrive on fresh perspectives and am always looking for new angles to tell stories and solve problems. I also bring a natural ability to foster camaraderie within a team, which helps drive collaboration and trust. My background in entertainment media gives me a unique lens when it comes to media relations and event management—it’s helped me understand how to capture attention and create experiences that resonate.
In your opinion, what makes the culture at Piper Communications stand out?
Piper’s culture stands out because it strikes that rare balance of being both high-performing and deeply supportive. We each bring different strengths to the table, and there’s a strong sense of trust in how we collaborate—everyone knows their role and is eager to jump in wherever needed. The environment is fast-paced, but never at the cost of creativity or compassion. We’re empowered to take initiative, think outside the box, and push projects further, knowing we have a reliable team behind us. That combination of autonomy, innovation, and camaraderie creates a culture where people thrive—and where incredible work gets done.
