On January 23, 2026, Centrus Energy Corp. announced a major expansion of its centrifuge manufacturing facility in Oak Ridge, representing an investment of more than $560 million. The project will support the large-scale deployment of advanced centrifuge technology, strengthen America’s domestic nuclear supply chain and create nearly 430 new jobs in Anderson County. The announcement further positioned Tennessee as a national leader in advanced manufacturing and nuclear energy.
